Puri Jati and Secret Bay offer a different side of diving near Pemuteran. At Puri Jati, the river flowing into the sea creates special conditions for unusual critters. Secret Bay is extremely shallow, so dives are planned around high tide, and depending on the season, the water there can be cooler – sometimes it can even drop to 23°C.

Excellent micro/macro muck dive site with a wide variety of sea critters and octopus species, great for macro shots. The bottom consists of black volcanic sand, making it a perfect backdrop for high-contrast close-ups. Since it’s a shallow dive site, we usually make the best of it and dive longer.
Depth: 2 to 20 m
Common Dwellers: mimic octopus, emperor shrimp, snake eel, ambon scorpionfish, dragonet, stargazer, ghost pipefish.
